Every book begins with the sources themselves. Primary documents. Firsthand accounts. The records that survived.
I cross-reference hundreds of sources to build each story. I track contradictions. I weigh evidence. I separate what we know from what we assume.
If I don't know something, I say so. I would rather admit uncertainty than publish a comfortable lie.
The Writing
But truth doesn't have to be dry.
I write history the way it deserves to be told — cinematic, immersive, alive. Not academic papers. Not textbook summaries. Stories that land in the chest, not just the head.
